Getting Started — Lighting
What Wilsons Does in Lighting
Wilsons' lighting work spans two genuinely different technologies, wired and specified differently:
- Smart / simple lighting — dimmable circuits, and simple RGB/RGBW LED strip controlled via smart relays or bulbs (Shelly, Hue). No data signal, no per-pixel addressing.
- Addressable pixel LED — strip where each LED (or small group) is individually controllable, wired with a dedicated data signal and zone controllers (e.g. MiBoxer SPI ecosystem). A materially different install, with its own PSU sizing, cabling, and data-chain rules.
Confirm which type is actually specified before quoting or ordering — the two are not interchangeable products, and pricing, cable spec, and controller requirements differ substantially between them.
